Beats in the Burbs




WHAT
‘Beats in the ‘Burbs’ was created as part of university group project with a real world client. The client was QMusic their problem statement was;
"QMusic is looking for proposals that will support the Australian music industry to 1) recover from the COVID19 disruptions and 2) transform in order to be more resilient and productive in a post-COVID19 world."
My Group was successful in this project as we were part of the top 5 groups from the unit, selected to pitch to the client themselves. Unfortunately our project was not selected by the client themselves to pursue.
‘Beats in the ‘Burbs’ is a YouTube series where music artists cook their favorite meal, while being interviewed. The host will prompt the artist with personal and industry related topics, as well as questions submitted by the audience via the QMusic Instagram story.
WHERE
The series aims to create an authentic and personable connection between artists and the audience. This is achieved through filming the series in the artists’ homes, within both rural and city-based locations around Queensland.
WHEN
Each week, the artists’ recipes will be available for purchase on the QMusic website, with all proceeds going directly to the artists. At the end of each 10 episode season, a limited-edition, sustainably made cookbook will be available for sale. This will include recipes from the season and exclusive content from the artists.
